Teachers' Day Project 2017
Thank you all for being a part of the 50th Birthday Celebrations of 86ers, and sharing an amazing time. We really partied like rock stars, posing for best of selfies with our besties, a full-memory of which we would hold close to our hearts forever.

Now itís time to give back to society; get back to our philanthropic activities towards College.

Following the success and popularity your Group has gained by organizing the annual outings in the past years, the Teachers Guild of Royal College has requested us to do it again for them, this year as well.

All of you are thorough with this project, having organized it ten times since its inception in 2001, so we would save the details being repeated.

Date has been picked as Saturday 28th October 2017. Venue is yet to be decided; will be within a three-hour destination reachable by train.

To re-iterate the objective of this program: it would enhance the unity, camaraderie, and team work amongst the Teachers, whilst creating loyalty towards the college and a sense of belongingness, which would help to produce effective and efficient teachers, the integral part of creating a better tomorrow for future generations of Royalists.

Fundraising, as usual is on a per-Teacher basis, requesting each and every Royalist, to stand-for as many teachers as they can; LKR 5,000 is estimated per Teacher, which works out to a total of LKR 1,500,000. Of this, LKR 1,000,000 will be raised within our Group, by its own funds and membersí contributions, while the balance LKR 500,000 is sought from fellow-Royalists to bridge the deficit.
